Rules & Regulations

Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.) & Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.)
For Maharashtra State Candidates

Admissions to the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) programmes are governed by the rules and regulations prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the respective affiliating authority, and other competent regulatory bodies. Admissions are conducted through a transparent and merit-based Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

General Admission Rules

1. Eligibility

Admission shall be granted only to candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra, State CET Cell, PCI and the respective affiliating authority.

Submission of an application does not guarantee admission.

3. Centralized Admission Process (CAP)

Admissions are carried out only through the CAP conducted by the State CET Cell, Government of Maharashtra. Candidates must participate according to the notified schedule.

4. Document Verification

Candidates must produce original documents for verification. Any false, incomplete or misleading information may lead to immediate cancellation of admission.

5. Reservation Policy

Reservation shall be applicable strictly as per the prevailing rules of the Government of Maharashtra. Candidates claiming reservation must submit valid supporting documents.

6. Domicile Requirement

Maharashtra State candidature candidates must submit valid domicile and other prescribed certificates as required by the State CET Cell.

7. Fee Payment

Admission is confirmed only after payment of the prescribed tuition fees and other applicable charges within the stipulated time.

8. Original Documents

Original documents submitted during admission shall be verified by the institute in accordance with Government and University guidelines.

9. Cancellation of Admission

False information.
Forged documents.
Failure to fulfil eligibility.
Failure to report on time.
Non-payment of fees.
Violation of admission rules.

10. Institute's Decision

The decision of the Admission Committee and the Competent Authority regarding admission shall be final and binding on all candidates.

Rules After Admission

Attendance

Students shall maintain attendance as prescribed by PCI and the affiliating authority.
Shortage of attendance may lead to detention from examinations or practical assessments.

Code of Conduct

Maintain discipline and decorum.
Respect faculty, staff and fellow students.
Maintain professional behaviour.
Wear prescribed uniform and identity card.
Follow laboratory safety protocols.

Anti-Ragging Policy

The institute follows a Zero Tolerance Policy towards ragging. Any student found guilty shall face disciplinary and legal action including suspension, expulsion, cancellation of admission and criminal proceedings.

Examination Rules

Students shall follow university examination regulations.
Use of unfair means shall attract disciplinary action.

Identity Card

Every student must carry the institute identity card while on campus and produce it whenever required.

Laboratory Discipline

Follow laboratory safety instructions.
Handle instruments carefully.
Wear protective equipment.
Report accidents immediately.
Compensate for damage caused due to negligence, if applicable.

Library Rules

Maintain silence.
Return books on time.
Pay overdue fines, if applicable.
Handle library resources responsibly.

Dress Code

Students are expected to wear neat, decent and professional attire. Laboratory coat and identity card are mandatory during practical sessions.

Anti-Drug & Tobacco Policy

Consumption, possession or distribution of tobacco, alcohol, narcotic drugs or any prohibited substances within the campus is strictly prohibited.

Mobile Phone Policy

Mobile phones shall not be used during lectures, practical sessions, examinations, seminars or official academic activities unless specifically permitted.

Discipline

Acts of violence, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, damage to institute property or any activity adversely affecting the reputation of the institute shall invite strict disciplinary action.

Important Instructions

Admission is purely provisional until approved by the Competent Admission Authority and the affiliating authority.
Candidates should regularly visit the official admission portal for notifications, CAP schedules and merit lists.
The institute reserves the right to modify these rules in accordance with directives issued by the Government of Maharashtra, State CET Cell, PCI, MSBTE, DBATU or any other competent authority.
In case of any dispute, the decision of the Competent Authority shall be final and binding.
