About the Programme

The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.) is a two-year professional diploma programme designed to prepare students for careers in pharmaceutical sciences, community healthcare, and the pharmaceutical industry. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical laboratory training, enabling students to develop the skills required for safe dispensing of medicines, patient counselling, and pharmaceutical care.

The programme is conducted as per the norms and regulations prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai. After successful completion of the programme and mandatory practical training, graduates become eligible to register as Pharmacists with the State Pharmacy Council, subject to applicable regulations.

Duration

• Course Duration: 2 Academic Years
• Practical Training: Minimum 500 Hours (Approximately 3 Months) in an approved hospital, pharmacy or pharmaceutical institution as prescribed by PCI.

Eligibility Criteria

• Passed Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) examination or its equivalent.
• Studied Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology.
• Fulfilled eligibility criteria prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra, MSBTE and Pharmacy Council of India.

Admission is carried out according to the guidelines issued by the Competent Admission Authority of Maharashtra State.
